KEY TAKEAWAYS
Biloxi is the main casino destination on the Mississippi Gulf Coast: the City of Biloxi lists eight casino resorts inside its limits, five of them with Beach Boulevard addresses and three on Bayview Avenue and Howard Avenue. It suits visitors who want a drive-in resort weekend with casino floors, hotels, restaurants and live entertainment in one compact area rather than a big-city trip. All of the casinos require guests to be 21 or older to gamble, and the casinos differ most on smoking policy, hotel size and table minimums.
This guide describes the physical casinos only. It uses the City of Biloxi, Coastal Mississippi, the Mississippi Gaming Commission, the airport and each property’s own site as sources, and it dates every fact that can change. Information is current as of October 2026. Hours, amenities, minimums and fees change, so confirm details with each casino before you travel.
Biloxi Casinos at a Glance
The City of Biloxi names eight casino resorts: Beau Rivage, Boomtown, Golden Nugget Biloxi, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Harrah’s Gulf Coast, IP Casino Resort Spa, Palace Casino Resort and Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel. Coastal Mississippi, the regional tourism organization, counts 12 casinos on the Gulf Coast when Gulfport, Bay St. Louis and D’Iberville are included. The other four are Island View in Gulfport, Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast and Silver Slipper in Bay St. Louis, and Scarlet Pearl in D’Iberville.
The eight Biloxi casinos are not spread evenly. Five have addresses on Beach Boulevard facing the Gulf: Golden Nugget at 151, Harrah’s Gulf Coast at 280, Hard Rock at 777, Beau Rivage at 875 and Treasure Bay at 1980. Boomtown (676 Bayview Avenue) and IP Casino Resort Spa (850 Bayview Avenue) sit on the Back Bay side, and Palace Casino Resort is at 158 Howard Avenue. A Biloxi newspaper described Golden Nugget and Harrah’s Gulf Coast as just a few blocks apart, which shows how close several of the Beach Boulevard resorts are to one another.
Mississippi licenses and regulates casino gaming through the Mississippi Gaming Commission. Its list of currently licensed casinos, last updated September 2024, includes each of the eight Biloxi properties, and state law is the source for the minimum age covered below.
What You Find Inside the Casinos
Every Biloxi casino offers slot machines and table games, and most add a hotel, restaurants, a spa or pool, and live entertainment. Beau Rivage, which MGM Resorts operates, describes an 85,000-square-foot gaming area, 13 restaurants, four bars and lounges, a 1,550-seat theatre, a spa and Fallen Oak, a championship golf course. Its signature lounge, EIGHT75, reopened on August 14, 2026 after a redesign, with live bands scheduled seven nights a week at the time of the announcement.
Hotel size varies. A June 2026 news report put Golden Nugget Biloxi at 706 hotel rooms and Harrah’s Gulf Coast at 499, and Golden Nugget’s own meeting-planner fact sheet says it offers more than 700 rooms. At the budget-minded end, Boomtown posts an EZ Play Zone on its website with live craps and blackjack at $3 minimum wagers, as of October 2026. Always confirm minimums at the table, since they change with the time of day and day of the week.
Smoking policy is one of the clearest ways the casinos differ. Palace Casino Resort advertises itself on its own site as Biloxi’s only smoke-free casino, and Boomtown says it has a smoke-free slot area on its second floor. Policies at the other properties vary, so check each casino’s current policy if smoke matters to you. The visitor listing from the City of Biloxi also notes on-site sportsbooks at several resorts, which are an amenity of the property and not a reason to plan the trip around.
Planning Your Biloxi Trip
Most air travelers use Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, the second-largest airport in Mississippi, which its own site says welcomes nearly 800,000 travelers a year. Golden Nugget’s fact sheet places its Biloxi resort 13 miles from the airport, so plan for a car or a ride to cover the distance. Drivers can also reach the Coast from New Orleans (about 85 miles) or Mobile, Alabama (about 65 miles), according to distances printed on the City of Biloxi visitor map.
Start with the money. Treat the gambling as paid entertainment and set a gambling budget in advance that is separate from lodging and meals. A labeled hypothetical: a traveler plans a two-night weekend with a $300 gambling budget and two sessions a day over three days, or 6 sessions in all.
where the budget is $300 and the sessions are 6, so $300 ÷ 6 = $50 per session. The rest of the trip is a separate sum. Using made-up round figures for travel ($60), two nights of lodging at $120 ($240), food ($120) and entertainment ($80), the total is $60 + $240 + $120 + $80 + $300 = $800. These are fictional examples, not current Biloxi prices, so replace them with real quotes for your dates.
The Eight Biloxi Casinos Compared
The table compares the eight casinos by criteria taken from the City of Biloxi visitor listing, which was last updated in August 2022, and from the property sites quoted above. It states what each source lists and does not rank the casinos. Because the city listing is dated, treat the hotel and golf columns as a starting point and verify them with the casino.
| Casino | Address | Hotel listed | Golf listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beau Rivage | 875 Beach Blvd. | Yes | Yes |
| Boomtown | 676 Bayview Ave. | No | No |
| Golden Nugget Biloxi | 151 Beach Blvd. | Yes | No |
| Hard Rock Hotel & Casino | 777 Beach Blvd. | Yes | No |
| Harrah’s Gulf Coast | 280 Beach Blvd. | Yes | Yes |
| IP Casino Resort Spa | 850 Bayview Ave. | Yes | No |
| Palace Casino Resort | 158 East Howard Ave. | Yes | Yes |
| Treasure Bay | 1980 Beach Blvd. | Yes | No |
Beyond Biloxi, the other Coast casinos give a wider choice of settings. Coastal Mississippi describes Island View in Gulfport as having nearly 2,500 slot machines, 21 dining and beverage locations and a full-service spa, and Scarlet Pearl in D’Iberville as a modern resort with a family-friendly mini-golf course. The same page describes the Bay St. Louis casinos, Hollywood Casino and Silver Slipper, as offering RV parks, golf courses and waterfront dining.
Rules, Tips and Common Mistakes
The rule that surprises visitors most is the age requirement. Mississippi Code section 75-76-155 says a person under 21 shall not play, place wagers or collect winnings from licensed gaming, and it adds that a casino cannot plead that it believed the person was 21 or older. Bring valid photo identification and expect to be asked for it, and do not plan a trip around a younger traveler gambling.
The common mistakes are practical. Visitors assume every Biloxi resort has a hotel, when Boomtown is listed by the city without one, or they book a room in a smoking-allowed property without checking the policy. Others compare nightly room rates and forget fees and parking, or count on a minimum seen online without confirming it on the floor. Decide how much you are willing to spend, split it across your sessions, and stop when the session limit is reached. If gambling stops being fun, take a break and use the help resources your casino posts.
